Site Portfolio
Since my venturing into the world of web consultancy in the summer of 1999, I have built a number of excellent relationships with my business clients. My emphasis has always been on 'hand-made' sites - built either using hand-coded templates designed by myself or bespoke designs following thorough consultation.
The web industry has changed markedly, particularly in the field of design standards, style and layout. My portfolio reflects this, in that while some of my clients have been willing to keep up to speed with the latest design developments, others have been more than happy with the straightforward designs created long before the era of tableless design and CSS-driven templates. Rather than just showcasing the very latest of my creations, I think it is a nice thing to present a selection of sites built over the past eight or so years - one could even view it as a living history of web development!
In line with the standards set down not only by the W3C but also the number of agencies placing greater emphasis on usability and accessibility, all of my latest templates and designs fulfil the criteria of separating content from design. This has been blended with the design principle I have maintained from the start, which is that web sites should always be simple and to the point - what your customers will always want.
